This deck would've been cool (if a bit unbalanced) if not for the crap choice of artwork. I rate Agricola a 10 and these regional decks that aren't in the spirit of the original game 1's; first the art turns off everyone, I can't play with these cards, and second the quality of the content of the cards is diminishing with so many cards out now. A shame.

Lots of people complain that the cards are to powerful but there are tons of powerful cards already and these break out of the restrictions of the game a bit, which makes it quite interesting.

I'm not a big fan of the expansion decks for the Agricola. I think they change the game from something competitive to "lets add a wacky unique event." They are fine if that's what you play them for, but they certainly aren't necessary.

Another bunch of Occupations and Minor Improvements for my beloved farming game is of course a welcome addition. The dutch-themed decks have a mix of cards inspired by famous paintings of the dutch masters, and cards paying a tribute to contemporary dutch personalities from sports and other fields. The latter are a little odd and disappointing (there is a card about the infamous "spit" made by a soccer player... c'mon, guys...).

The cards are nevertheless playable and varied.

The verdict is: you don't really HAVE to own this deck. Unless you are an Agricolaholic, of course...

Update, february 11, 2013: this deck contains many cards that seem overpowered and not mucj playtested! Rating dropped to 6.

Unlike others, I have no problem with the artwork of this deck. However, it is a little frustrating that very few cards in this deck deal with animals. There is a big emphasis on crops and obviously fishing. I guess there aren't or weren't many animals raised in the Netherlands.
