Solo miniatures game

I would rate the gameplay of this game a solid 7-8 but there are a few nagging things that bump this game down to a 6. Whenever I play, I have tons of fun. I like the concept of coop minis play as well as solo minis play. However, it takes a good 25 minutes to go through scenario generator to get a scenario going to the table. The worst part is that like every other Two Hour Wargames book I have bought, the writing and organization of the book is absolutely horrible. It's a real pain to find anything in the book. In fairness the THW's operator, Ed, he is always willing to answer questions on the yahoo group for his games. I just wish it was easier to find the stuff in the rule books themselves. Because of the book organization on writing, I have to knock the system down a couple of points. It's a ton of work to get a game played. Despite these negatives, I will continue to plug along with the system as when you do get the minis to the table, the game is a lot of fun.

Update: I am dropping the rating to a 5. I am tired of searching for things in the book. Also, every two hour wargame works on the same reaction system. That's fine but the system keeps changing from game to game and I am tired of trying to figure out which way the system works in each game. Moreover, the more you play the game system the more you realize that all you do is roll dice and the game charts dictate every single thing your miniatures do or don't do.

Good as a solo game, but it is a bit slow for multple players. I prefare to play the free version CR3.0 if playing with a friend.

As usual with the publisher, the rules are a hot mess, but work ok when you get through it all.
