Makes the game a little bit longer. The new meeples add a new layer that prevents the game from going stale. Falconers and churches are fun to play around with, but the really big addition is the king. He can really turn the game around, especially in combination with the right wall tiles.

This is a great expansion. I find the King is the single most dramatic change - the possible scores with the King are so high, you really have to think hard about when to deploy him and what to do when your opponent deploys his. It does lengthen the game and increase the scores by about 50%, but you'll still clock in under an hour if you play efficiently. Really glad I paid to have this printed up for me.
