I can't quite tell what to think of this. On the one hand, it's incredibly innovative-I can't remember anything like it-and the mechanics do a wonderful job of giving me the mental image of what's going on. It paints a picture of a sword fight in my mind much better than all but the best D&D sessions have.

On the other hand, well, I can't figure it out as a game. I can't tell if it has no strategy at all or incredibly deep strategy. You're making tons of decisions, and those decisions determine if you win or lose, but I can't figure out how to gain any information about what my opponent is going to do, so I can't tell what to base my decisions on, so it feels like I'm just swinging in the dark, as it were. The production values are, basically, non-existent. The cards are fine quality, don't get me wrong, but the art is just straight up circles and numbers (or text) on top of what I'm sure is a public domain picture of the Vitruvian Man, for every card. And the box.

If I can figure out how to actually play this strategically and not feel like I'm just doing things at random, this will go up to a 9 for me. If it also somehow got art that still conveyed the data as the current cards do, this could be a 10. As it is, the incredibly vivid imagery it creates and the very short play time make it an 8. If I keep playing it and the games start to feel the same, or it becomes clear that it actually doesn't have strategy, then it may go down, but for now I'm eager to try it out some more.

A novel and new concept. Fast pace and quick game. The game is also small (two decks) so it is perfect to carry with you and pull out when you have a few moments to spare. Easy to learn although the instructions leave a little to be desired, they try too hard in explaining it that it feels like the game is much more complicated than it is. I'm looking forward to the expansions, especially consiering they'll provide more variety and a some weapons that are more my style. With some knowledge of the cards avaliable in the deck and experience playing I'm possitive that one could master the weapon of choice knowing exactly what moves to perform allowing this game to become very strategic.

the dreaded "rules on the cards" aspect has me worried already.
