Solar Starfire

This is a heavy empire management and starship combat spreadsheet game. The basics of starship combat are simple enough that fleet combat goes fairly quickly; the choices and options that lead to fleet combat can get fairly arcane.

It's a great solo game, oddly enough, but incredibly time consuming. Of course, it's better to do tactical battles with a friend, but the strategy part is doable in solo. Still waiting on the new version of the game promised in 2013 with the purchase of solar starfire, but I'm patient.

A worthy successor to the previous Starfire editions. High learning curve but worth it. Great community at Starfiredesign.com Forums !

I am the lead designer for this version of Starfire, so I may be a little biased - but this is my favorite version of Starfire. It is a living work, constantly under construction, always improving to be the best game it can be.
