A well balanced tactical level WWII miniatures game system, able to be adapted to different 20th century conflicts. This is the best rules set I have found that allows the introduction of new players, while keeping the veterans still happy. Highly recommend.

Simply my favorite game. Great balance between simulation and game. I mostly play late-WWII, but I have played scenarios covering from 1940 through 2004. Currently playing through SkirmishCampaigns:Normandy '44-First Hours.

A rather generic WWII minatures war game with figures based individually yet they fire as squads/teams and all LMGs are the same, all lt. mortars are the same... I prefer more detail in my units and equip for the time invested in a mini game of this time scale. Your mileage may vary.

Good balance between sim and fun. Game mechanics are well thought out in every respect. Rules editing could be better -- 'core' rules are dispersed among many examples, explanations, exceptions and optional rules. At first, it's difficult to figure out which paragraph one should read.

This is a very good WW2 skirmish miniatures game. It seems best for 2-4 players, but it's playable with minor modification up to 8 or more at conventions and so on.

Favorite Skirmish Rules, been playing them for 10 years, still enjoy them. Have used them for WW1, Spanish Civil War, WW2 and Vietnam, works great in any 20th century period.

I've only played this once - not enough to form a proper view of the game
