The Battle for Dresden 1813

If you like Napoleon's Last Battles (NLB) - like me!! - this is a pretty good successor from 1995, which polishes the rules a bit and brings in some new features.

This game is a gem - just view the game map. A wonderful city plan even for nowadays Dresden!

Superb map, an update at brigade level of the old SPI Dresden game.

Unfortunately, while the graphics are superb, the combat system just doesn't seem to work. Tried setting this up and using RAW and then some modified rules but not too playable.

Update 9/2021- set up scenario 1 for a solo play and got my head around the rules, particularly command. About half way thru the secenario and it is working well.

Most enjoyable game system that combines historical simulation with playability. Very nice components.
