Among the Stars: The Ambassadors

Along with the base game this was acquired through Kickstarter. Usually "player powers" are a welcome addition. In this case none of them are really very good.

I like the concept of the ambassadors and the new cards are interesting but the expansion makes the game clunky and very clunky in set up.

The Ambassadors are like Leaders in 7 Wonders. They're a neat idea that is quickly deemed unnecessary to the smooth gameplay. Luckily the expansion has something else too! The extra cards integrate smoothly and enrichen the base game card pool. Ambassadors expansion also comes with great two player rules variant that works for Among the Stars as well as 7 Wonders.
