Clash of Cultures: Civilizations

Great addition. Adds to the complexity, but also to the fun.

Finally got around to playing the game a year late, very impressive and I don't see why you would ever play without this expansion, or even why they designed the original without some variety in the player techs.

In my personal opinion an essential expansion. The leaders are amazing as they differentiate your play style depending on who is your leader and are very thematic to the history. And since they only affect the hex they are on, you have a risk and reward to risk them in the front lines as losing them to an opponent gives them 2 points. The many other factions gives variety and the new unit types and buildings are nice ways to differentiate the combat and economy compared to the base game. Overall, great expansion and won't play without it if I have any say on the topic.

After one play, seems to add some nice variability and expands the base game in non-essential but very pleasing ways. Can't see playing without it.

It's a good expansion. This really should have been the default Clash of Cultures. This expansion adds necessary depth.

Some Sub-Saharan African and pre-colonial North American civilizations would have been a nice inclusion. Maybe a mini-expansion can be done. There are tons of noteworthy civilizations that would be good for a mini-expansion.
