two thumbs up!
Ultimate Werewolf: Wolfpack .1.0 A Party and Deduction & Bluffing-theme game expansion note/review.
Aesthetics - (2/2 Pts.) The cards all look visually appealing and voices out themselves with their role. Enhancing the given abilities and their weight to you.
Mechanics - (2/2 Pts.) Simple instructions. Actual instructional gameplay lets the players visually understand. Card variations and roles increase may vary per parties expertise and experience. 2.5 Learning Curve - (Easy) The booklet properly addresses the following rules and instructions.
Involvement - (1/2 Pts.) Each roles participation are broad and experimentally 'fun'. This adds variation to the Werewolf Team, but each cards ability's efficiency may vary. 3.5 Quantity - (12-20 Pax.) the preferred amount would make things optimal. Fewer or more players may be tedious, confusing, or lacklustered.
Game Length - (1/2 Pts.) The additional cards may either prolong or shorten each game. Depending on the volume of expansion included. There is no in between.
Replay Value - (1/2 Pts.) Different scenarios, combinations, and outcomes are guaranteed for each play, but may provide more fun if played with experienced peers of the game. Confusion may come from new players.
Other - (Bonus: 0/2 Pts.) The abilities of each cards aren't all beneficial for the Werewolf Team as some don't contribute to the team's strength. It somehow does provide for an interesting play.
Overall - Granting the score of 7/10, inclusion of bonus pts. The expansion forces the addition of more players to have a normal length of gameplay. It provides a variation and benefit for both Villager and Werewolf Team. Somewhat balancing the game with inclusion of the expansion.
Just an add-on to Werewolf.
