Sturdy compact package, well printed. Comes ready to play; no stickers to apply! A very pleasant surprise in play--holds interest, intense, with just enough mix of action and cat-and-mouse to give a great "feel" for the theme. Very well-done design and a great game, easily fast enough for two plays in an evening.
Really enjoy this game. I would recommend it to friends and family. Good for adults and kids.
This is a great game. It is fast paced, suspense filled, and can be played out start to finish in under an hour. I've played it with adult friends and also with my 9 and 12 year old sons and it is fun in both settings. There is some luck involved in guessing which way the terrorist moved which reminds me of poker. I highly recommend the game to everyone.
This is a Cool, Fast-paced game of "Cat and Mouse"! (This sets up and plays much faster than the others like Fury of Dracula!) A Great game to add to any board game collection!!! ;-)
I have only played this game once and it was very enjoyable. I have since ordered a copy and am confident it will hold to a high rating upon further play.
After having played Viktory: Terror in Europe only once I am quite hopeful that future playings will be equally as enjoyable. The basic premise is that a team of allied law enforcement specialists with different capabilities work together to hunt down and eliminate a lone terrorist who's meandering across Europe by train, plane and automobile and wreaking havoc by setting off bombs in various cities. The only other game that comes to mind that I've ever played that has a somewhat comparable feel is Letters from Whitechapel where several "detectives" are hunting for Jack the Ripper. I also have only played LfW only once and enjoyed that.
But at least one crucial difference that I think would bring VTiE to the gaming table much more frequently is that it is a much shorter game taking only about an hour for our 4 player game. The down time between player turns can be kept to a reasonable brevity so long as you poke your neighbor so he doesn't get frozen into analysis paralysis for while Viktory has basically simple rules there can be a lot to think over.
The map board is beautifully done as are the rest of the pieces and the mechanics of the game are interesting without being overwhelming. Something easy enough for beginners, and complex enough for more experienced gamers who want a fun cat and mouse game. I definitely plan to pick up a copy.
(Review copy courtesy of Peter Morrison.) The game is a light yet challenging entry in the "hide and seek" genre. It's winning conditions and combat mechanics make it tense and the movement options are balanced against unit abilities. Plays quickly and is fun!
This is a wonderful, simple, highly entertaining game that I have found suitable even for the neophyte and reluctant gamers that comprise much of my family. The rules are easily grasped, the components are of excellent quality, the action can be quite challenging if your opponents are clever or intuitive, and best of all, it is great fun. This is one of those games that I take with me when going to gatherings of family or church, because I don't have to spend a half hour going over the rules, and I know it will be a hit with anyone who plays it.
My friends and I love to play this game. It has a good balance to where the operatives and terrorist have equal chances. I like the overall map as well. It is very detailed and does not have any obscure routes you can take. The movements are all logical. I have played this game well over 50 times and plan to continue.
