Fun -and challenging for the French-Spanish. Long live the Santa Ana!
Cromier's Trafalgar. I have played it once so far, and will play it again in the summer. Interesting game, which may need one or two house rules.
What a landmark design for that era. Looking at the rules today it's a simple game but back many things were so novel and not see before
I last played this game when in high school, many years ago. I recall it was a delight to play - clean rules and terrific components. The mapboard was a blue vinyl and the unit counters were thick, with overhead views of ships-of-the-line. It had all the tactical components expected, to include grappling and crossing the t. I consider it, next to Hobby Japan's Last Gamble, to be the holy grail of any wargame collection. And unlike some rarities, which simply sit on the shelf, this one should be played. I regret letting my buds talk me out of mail ordering it at the time because shipment seemed to be very problematic. Both friends had to write multiple letters before their ordered copies showed up on the doorsteps. My goal would be to obtain one that included the original shipping tube, but that's probably wishful thinking.
