Surprisingly fun little filler game. Lots of being able to mess people over, quick to learn.

This is a very solid game. The rules are simple enough for anyone to learn, but the strategy runs deep. The mechanics of the game allow for players to bluff a lot, but game play is fast enough that too much bluffing could get you in trouble.

Combines a lot of strategy with some luck (card drawing and shuffling). The randomness is necessary, as the players are racing to deduce which of the nine cards hides "the Book of Shadows."

Has a lot of replayability and is simple enough for small kids, but complex enough for more strategic gamers to have a lot of fun. Definitely buying it here.

Like all good bluffing games, the best part of this is watching player's faces as they try to hide the information they know about the current game. There's a lot of hidden information going on, and you can't really be entirely sure that you will be scrying the right area to win the game.

I recommend it to families who want to play a poker game without the money getting in the way, and without having to remember all the hands and what beats what.

This is one of my favorite games. I playtested it extensively and tend to purchase a copy as soon as it becomes available.

The mix of memory, tactical action, and reading opponents for information really makes this game stand out compared to others in its genres. My favorite moment in any game of FI&BI is when an opponent learns information by scrying or obfuscating cards, and then the rest of the table watches them for giveaways about what they've seen - either body language or verbal cues, or more often where they choose to move to after gaining the information.

I've played it with people of all different skill levels and everyone enjoyed it. The fun theme and simple mechanics mean there's something for everyone here, but there's a surprising amount of depth and replay value for hardcore gamers.
