Concordia: Britannia / Germania

Britannia is a great map and makes this game worth playing at 2 players. Will want to play again soon.

Britannia is a nice variation to Roma map, but not a huge difference.

Both of the maps in this pack are very good - but they add variety, not a new play experience like some of the other map packs.

BRITANNIA: 5+ plays / 2,3 players

This is THE MOST FUN map for 3 players, because it brings the game to a nice, competitive level. Excellent for those who are into these types of dry Euros. 2 players wasn't bad, but still a little loose.

GALLIA: 2 plays / 4,5 players

It is good with 4 players, the bonus resources add to optimized strategies, but keep the map tight. Boats seem a little weaker, but that's why they add 2 movement points. This map gets high scores in end game.

This is a nice little addition to the game in the form of a new board. The new board adds a new element with the towers that provide a good if you take the Prefect action with a colonist adjacent to one, but this was very rarely used in my one play. The Germania map feels more spacious than the Mediterranean Sea one from the base game, which could be good or bad depending on your preferences. I wasn't a big fan of the rivers being used for boat movement in the Germania map as they felt much more restrictive than the routes on the Med board, and as such very few boat colonists were produced.

Britannia we play most often with just the 2 of us, which provides a tighter playing experience. Britannia with four players produces an exciting experience that is extremely cutthroat. We play the Germania board sparingly as we do not find the experience nearly as engaging.
