Crusaders: Thy Will Be Done

Fun, light euro - the satisfaction of manipulating the action wheel really carries the game. Having the constantly decreasing pool of influence as a little pressure-clock is also a nice touch. Theming is a bit all over the place - almost feels like this should've been a game with a different theme, but it works well enough.

Good game with an interesting rondel action mechanic. Not a ton of player interaction, but each round has interesting choices and it plays fast.

So, so good. I love mancala mechanics, and this game does it perfectly. It's fun & not paralyzing. You're trying to build & conquer, and there's multiple strategies you can be pursuing. The different player powers are fun & add some nice variety, as do the differing token layouts from game to game. The production is lovely, even in the retail version that I have. Greatly enjoying this game so far.

This is quite a solid engine building worker movement game which feels lin some way like Endeavor. Of course the interesting bit is the Mancala action selection where what you pick up determines how 'powerful' the action becomes. The effort is around planning and proceeding with pick ups. Players drain a pool of victory points to determine the end of the game. But the similarity for me is building results in modifiers to your actions. That plus a race to get to precious points in defeating pagans (?) - it all makes for a nice game.
