Lancaster: Big Box

Played a demo game last year with 4 people--enjoyable experience. Worker placement with bidding / bluffing and lots of ways to score VPs, plus a few elements where cooperation is possible and temporary alliances can be advantageous. Scoring methods change as part of the game mechanic, so it's unusual for someone to be repeatedly locked out of scoring points. I prefer the second edition board artwork myself, as the color has more saturation, but the game in general is visually appealing.

Worker placement game where workers have different strength values who can also be upgraded over the cause of the game.
