The Russian Empire Strikes Back: Lodz 1914

I was worried at first when I saw that almost all of the Russian and German corp and division counters had the same value, but it turns out that the game has several variables that modify how units move and fight, particularly command points and variable events. The Germans start with more units and command points and have to bash down the Russian line. Will the Russian reinforcements come before the Germans breakthrough? Swamps and a major river channel the battle and hinder both sides. My only issue is that large numbers of division counters were created to allow players to breakdown corps. I found them unnecessary. A corps with some space around it will hold longer. A chain of divisions will get chopped right through. Small counter count, small map -- great for people with limited space. Well balanced.
