Very enjoyable game, but some of the components aren't great--the evil screen is flimsy and falls over often. Takes a while to play, too!
I think the game would be better with more Characters on the Heroes side. Also there are a lot tokens/markers and sometimes the game can feel a bit messy. Other than that is an ok game, the rules play smoothly and it is well balanced.
Alone is an innovative survival dungeon crawler where one player is the hero and explores a dungeon while the other players are the dungeon lords who react on the hero's actions and they try to reduce the hero's physical and mental health.
What makes it special?
- One vs many where the hero is alone against multiple dungeon masters
- Exploration with risk/time management: quick in the dark and dangerous VS slow and safe with light
- Explored dungeon (tiles) disappear (memory element)
- Some actions of the dungeon lords create noise that give the hero some information about the surroundings
- Dungeon masters passively react on any of the hero's actions (depending on the available cards and action)
Pros:
- Artwork
- Theme Dark, claustrophobic, tense feel of one vs all, poking around in the dark
- Components Detailed minis, cardboard doors, custom dice, a lot of tokens
- Tense atmosphere ...for the hero player...
- Mini-map for notes Hero has a mini-map to take notes (for noise, explored rooms)
Neutrals:
Language dependent
Ability text on cards
Takes some time to teach and learn
Cons:
- Not that tense for the dungeon lords Player interaction for multiple dungeon lords is rather low. not that tense as for the hero player. Potentially a good game for 2 players.
- Downtime for the dungeon lords Dungeon lords have to wait for the hero, there is nothing else to do
- Many fiddly rules
- Luck-based combat based on dice.

This may go up in rating with more plays. I would keep it as a two player game and doubt I will ever use more than one Villain in the game. Definitely some strategy is needed on part of players. 2.5hr play? Much better than Deep Madness and much faster than Nemesis.
Sadly bland experience. Feels like there should be more to do - particularly as the evil player.
Tried this game few versions ago as playtester on both sides, being the hero is a very tense experience, like you actually are in an horror movie. Designer vote SUSPENDED the game needs to come out and the rules are new Emotional vote 10/10 this is not just a game this is an experience, everyone should play hero at least once
