Advanced Song of Blades and Heroes

Very good, very quick, very accessible, very replayable miniatures game. One of my favorites.

Like the spells addition to SBH. Don't use the reactions so much, but I may give it a try again. Still a 10, because I will drop playing almost anything else to play any SBH variant

nice for narrative and one offs alike.

The rules are less simple than I expected (for example there are rules to know if you run out of munitions, moral rules, rule for being outside or at the border of a forest etc) but nonetheless at the right level of complexity: still simple, not simplistic, but light.

The traits system seems excellent and I could give stats to one of my undead centaur miniature in a few seconds.

Approximately the same level of complexity than Frostgrave.

Absolutely spectacular skirmish game.
Easy to learn, easy to play, and can be played with any fantasy miniatures in your collection.
This is a great game to run at conventions, and to introduce new players to miniature skirmish games.

A book with one of the best fantasy tabletop skirmish miniature wargame rules. Simple rules allowing playing with a few number of miniatures (3-15 per side) and you can use any miniatures you like, for example your D&D or [i]Warhammer Fantasy[/i] collection. Slightly more complex than the [i]Song of Blades and Heroes[/i] old rules, bringing new spells & magic complexity, a great reaction system who adds a tactical layer, characters can equip weapons and many more. It can be played with the [i]Dungeon Command[/i] tiles or the [i]Dungeon Tiles Reincarnated[/i], using 2/3/5 when counting squares or hexes, or the [i]Battlezone: Manufactorum Battlefield[/i] board with a ruler.
