Excellent game, simple but very challenging
As it stands, an incomplete game - but with some additions and changes it plays well. It also has a really good activation system.
Excellent, inspired combined activation/morale mechanic, but very shabby rules in general. Firing mechanics are slightly clunky, many rule mechanisms (eg: smoke, mortars) don't work anything like their real life counterparts. Many odd nuances to the rules, for example armour is most effective when stationary, but infantry are best when moving. There's the kernel of a good ruleset in here, but overall there are just too many bits missing, and much of what is there is at WTF levels of weirdness. My advice: steal the brilliant activation system and attach it to some better rules.
Abstract WWII game that focuses on command and control on the battlefield. Well done game with great speed of playing and just enough granularity to bring the battlefield to life.
10 pages of rules. Iron Cross is easy to learn, but like a game of chess it is very hard to master. Unlike Chess it flows fast and furious.
For firing their is no measurement except for shoulder fired AT weapons as the battlefield is assumed to be at close ranges.
Command and control is where this game shines and makes it a winning combination of tactics, manpower and tanks.
I cannot recommend this enough.
