I have played this at a Convention recently with Tim one of the Designers of the game. It is a great game and has tons of replay ability.
Was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the robot building card drafting mechanic, and it walks a thin line between cooperative and aggressively competitive pretty well. I Kickstarted it because I enjoyed it, and there's not much more praise I can give than spending my own money on it!
I've helped with the testing of this game with Tim and it is loads of fun. I would play it once or twice a day for weeks at a time and it never got old. The item cards are tons of fun and the robot draft is an interesting mechanic. It is a must have game to play with friends and I can highly recommend it.
This game is so much fun! Get it and play with your friends asap! You'll be hooked!
I've played this game several times. One thing I like the most is how you have to balance between saving humanity and being the alpha survivor. Every experience is different which leads to high replay value. The game has a nice robot building card draft mechanic. I really like the item cards that can be used to help or hurt your teammates. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys rolling dice mixed with strategy. It's an A+ in my opinion and worth every dollar.
Incl. Pilot expansion pack
This game has a great balance of working together to win against the aliens and messing the other players over so that 'you' win. I played this game a couple times at a convention earlier this year. Won once, lost a lot. Doesn't matter, it was fun.
Building your own robot draft style was interesting and it goes quicker after a few rounds. The various dice was a bit odd at first, but it was easy to pick up. The game scales well for various numbers of players.
Only a 9, because it would take a bit longer to pick up starting cold compared to starting with people who already know how to play it.
