The Godfather: Corleone's Empire

Very easy to learn and lots of strategy. Played two play but would play different as the number of players goes up.

Rating based on 1 play with 5 players. Took 3 hours, which was a bit long for my game group. It was a lot of fun though, especially the large amount of carnage feeling like it changed the game several times.

Fun and thematic game. It is a bit difficult to track strategy because so much can change quickly. It isn't my usual game, but it is interesting and good with the right group. I do find it to be a bit longer than I would like it to be. Actions really start to stack up and LOTS of jobs start getting done. That makes it overstay with 5 players

I feel like this game isn’t appreciated enough. Probably because of peoples high expectations of Eric Lang or because the Godfather theme isn’t connected to the movies. It's an excellent worker placement/area control hybrid with a great gangster theme but the licence might have been put to better use. Wish there was an expansion that tied it in better.... or any expansion for this would probably be an instabuy for me.
