Good fun game, a bit like diplomacy with bells on and more space to expand. My first game of it, but I nearly won using a naval military strategy.

Plays quickly for a game of this scale and the mechanisms are slick and fit together nicely. I have concerns that actually there is only 1 strategy to pursue or at least a miltary/expansionist approach is just not viable. More plays will obviously see if this is true or not but if that's the case the long term replayability will diminish rapidly and my rating will reduce. If not true, it will more than likely become an 8

This is one of my favorite games but we don't get it out and play it very often. The only draw back is when you make several moves it a bit of a pain ot keep track of that has completed it's full movement. The laying down the units is a great way to help keep track.

The map is great with 2 sides and everything is well made. Just my cards are messed up due to a cup of water that spilled on them right before my very first game. But the cards don't get used much and just lay on the table so it not a big deal.

I really like this one, an area control/civilization building game that looks like a wargame but isn't. There are a lot of routes to victory, which I always like. There is a slight skewing towards the developments/upgrades and temples being more valuable than the other victory conditions, but I still think it is pretty well balanced.

Interesting civ game. Gotta love the rondel.

Has worked well with kids--largely because they've realized it's not best to attack all the time but they still threaten each other to invade constantly.

It was really fun for the first 2/3 and then slowed down considerably. The empire-building is great but the combat left a bit to be desired. I do love the rondel and think it is fun overall... I'd like to try playing with 3 or 4 at most, to see if the game length could be shortened.
