So a friend of mine backed this on KS after having demoed it and it's a lot of fun. I'm a huge fan of drafting and I'm a huge fan of trick taking games. While I'm not the biggest fan of the art, I am a huge fan of the gameplay. I definitely see this getting a decent amount of play in between bigger games.
Love the game, and love the game creator. Keep creating man.
A clever game that has special powers, drafting, trick-taking, and more. I like thematic trick takers, so this is in my sweet spot, especially because it is a partnership game.
Overall We actually received this game last year and we never played it because frankly we were to new to gaming and we didn't fully understand the rules. Also the game is mainly for 4 players (or so I incorrectly assumed) and I wanted to get my parents playing it with us. Since they have been playing a lot of games this past year I thought last night was time to try it out and oh my gosh we all had a blast. It did take one learning round but after that we were laughing and having so much fun.
This game is a card drafting, trick-taking, and at 4P a team game. All of which are still pretty new to us; I think we have only played one other drafting game and we have played a few trick taking games.
I think this is a really great 2P and 4P tick-taking/drafting game. The artwork is really cute (Sarah's words but yeah the dragon is really cute). Great game play. If you are familiar with trick-taking this game should be a piece of cake after the first round.

4 Player This is a team trick taking game with card drafting at the start of each round. We have never played a team game before and we have only played one other drafting game. It took a bit to understand (that's why we held off for a year as at first we didn't understand it. After you draft your hand of 11 cards you then go through cards 9 - 4 in order. They will activate special powers and earn you gems or different cards. You can also show your team mate your some of your cards this way. After that then all the cards go back in your hand and you start playing a pretty normal trick taking game. Each trick you win you earn a gem. There are some special cards marked by a dash border that have special effects while in play. You can then play two or four rounds. The team with the most gems wins! THIS GAME IS AWESOME WE ALL HAD SO MUCH FUN. Really looking forward to playing this again soon!
2 Player Honestly we both had major doubts as to how well this would be a two players. It was great! It's a totally different type of trick taking game from the few we know. I know we will be playing this a lot more in the future. The game still has the same feel to me as the 4P does; however Sarah said it felt like a different game.
So in the 2P game there are 26 cards. We each get one, then 16 go into a draw pile, 4 go into a market (2 face up), and the other 4 go into a roost/nest. You will flip the top 4 of the draw pile, the dealer takes 1 then your opponent takes the next two, and the dealer takes the last. You repeat this four times rotating who draws first. After that you then go though cards numbered 9 though 4 as they have special powers, then you start playing your trick taking game. I'm sorry if I didn't explain it total right. It sounds like a lot going on but it's really not and it's a ton of fun.
