they have done something really extraordinary with this deck. in a way, i want to warn you about spoilers here. to me, reading this deck was a very powerful experience. if you're thinking about getting this, stop reading this text and go buy it!
there are special rules for building this army. no more than 3 copies per common unit. also, up to 6 common units can come from other factions.
all the common units distributed with this army (6 different types of course) have two faction symbols: merc and one more. they can not be used in any army like other mercs; only in armies where they share a faction symbol with their summoner. they count towards the limit of 6 mercs in a non mercenary army. they do not count towards the 6 non mercenary units in this army (obviously).
the event cards let you change the faction symbol of your units for a turn. they also allow you to plant spies: if you have a unit on an opponent's side if the battle field, and that unit has the same faction symbol as that opponent's summoner, then you get to do some nasty things! make that opponent play with their hand revealed for example. or mess with their draw pile.
this deck really feels like the perfect conclusion for this amazing game. it sort of ties everything together i think.
