This is one of those games that is designed around a mechanic, not a theme or simulation, and I think that is okay, because it delivers great gameplay. It's easy to teach, endlessly replayable, and presents the players with some interesting problems and opportunities to develop strategies. Sometimes, the cards don't interact with each other very well, so if you create random decks there's a real chance the game will fall flat. But with curated decks featuring interlocking card effects, it is pretty fun. Few games released in the last two decades have created new genres like this one has, and overall deck building works best like this - separated from a map or other components and contained entirely within a card game format.

A very nice expansion to mix things up a bit.
Uitbreiding
No longer a standalone version, but improved with the removal of some of the weaker/annoying cards. Still my favorite deckbuilder and only better now with the updates.
Turns the best in super best.
