Ice & snow + big glacier pieces to hide behind. What's not to like?
Fun to have, but not as valuable an addition as Fortress of the Archkyrie or as Road to the Forgotten Forest.
(The rating is based on the likelihood of using the expansion when playing Heroscape.)
New terrain, common squad and scenarios. A worthwhile addition to the master sets.

Wheee. More figures for Heroscape! (See other comments on the expansions...)
more awesome terrain. This blows the lava set right out of the water. The frozen peaks are semi-clear blue and just look like they're going to melt while you play. Great stuff.
Albeit mostly unpainted, the snow terrain looks visually stunning on the battlefield, there are several glaciers ranging in size to offer options for line-of-sight blockers (you can even place figures inside these glaciers to let a hint of them show through!), and the ice can really decorate maps nicely. There's also a fair amount of terrain included in this set, enough to make a decent tundra section or a small ice map. This is especially notable in comparison to most of the other terrain expansions, which relied more on the base Master Set terrain to complement rather than form their own base for.
This set's shortcomings are that the Dzu-Teh are fairly unexciting and the special rules of Heavy Snow and Slippery Ice are pretty niche in application, given how much they can hurt melee figures while leaving ranged figures as strong as ever. Still a great addition overall.
