Knightmare Chess

It may be a extremely chaotic, but it's just so much fun to watch turn around after turn around. Only way to win is to slowly exterminate the other team. We play a variant where we simply put all the cards in a stack and each turn either play a card or discard one, reshuffle when all cards are used up. I love the theme too, it wouldn't be the same otherwise. We have a special sound effect or phrase for nearly each card.

It is the ONLY way I'll play chess...

Chaotic! But I guess that's the point...

Fun chess variant that mixes chess with card play. However, there really is very little resemblance to chess once the cards are added. Kings leave the board, pieces shoot each other, meld into combo pieces, explode and wipe out areas of the board. Take it for what it is and it is a lot of fun. But if you expect a chess game, you won't find it here.

Nice way to pimp your regular chess game.

A variant on chess. Adds a rather delicate layer of complexity to an already complex game. Good for beginners at chess, playing against friends that aren't... tips the scale in your favor.

Knightmare Chess deserved better, but it doesn't work for chessplayers because the superpowered cards nullify chess ability, while non-chessplayers think chess skill is required.
