Some very serious design flaws

This one started out really strong for us. Cool theme, good pacing/story, really enjoyable. I liked the changing of the main mechanics to 2 stats you could build on (though it took some getting used to) and the character abilities were nifty as well. I also really enjoyed using smartphones and QR codes. It added another fun element for me. Additionally the art and writing were great which you definitely don't see in every fan expansion. So I appreciate it. It was going really well for us for a while and we were having a great time. Until the magic eye illusions. We did everything else we could and then spent tons of time on those. We lost track. We just couldn't see it. We considered it was poor quality printing but even on digital files or high def, 2/3 of us were not/are not able to do those illusions. Luckily, after painstaking amounts of time, the 3rd player solved it! Then 2 of codes we had to solve were simple and we got them quickly (Tesla and Jen). The third one (Turing)....we never solved. I know what the Fibonnaci sequence is, but we couldn't see how it fit into the code. We ended up guessing which code to use to gain item 19 and then randomly chose who to give the time to. Those 2 bumps really grinded the game to a halt and made it so much less enjoyable. We spent over 4 hours playing and still couldn't solve those 2. With some modifications, I think this would be another great expansion. But as is, I just don't see how you solve it. Side note, if anyone has that invisible ink letter solved I would love to know what it says.

Several partfelt like time wasters and the use of magic eye pictures really annoyed several players (especially for the colour blind player)

An excellent mission for those who want a tough, puzzle-heavy, challenge. This is a long scenario with a lot of time spent puzzling over cyphers and a very diverse selection of puzzle types (Logic, decyphering, reflexes, visual searching). A very fun experience overall.
