Lava Flows

What would a game look like that's played with the pieces left over in Pyramid Arcade when somebody else is playing Caldera/Volcano? This is Andy Looney's answer. Decent game with only 12 pieces and a small board.

Not a bad little Icehouse filler. It strictly uses the opaque pieces so there is a slight memory and bluffing element to the game thanks to hidden setup and moving stacks without showing the pieces underneath. The spatial considerations and control of stacks work with this nicely to make an engaging and quick little abstract game.

A crafty little development of the shell game.

Interesting design... no luck via dice, but a small amount of hidden information and a slight memory component.
