18 cards. An impressive feat of (imperfect information) design with the multi-use cards and potential to alter the board state based on position. That you can just get a miserable hand is compensated by two things; one, you can have the cards played face down for fear of being flipped later, or you can concede and lose very few points on the mulligan.

Strong 7, possibly a weak 8.

Actually beats out Red7 for me as a perfect "folding-based" bluffing game. With the expansions, there's a ton more to enjoy, too.

I love card based duelling games and this does not disappoint. This is like Hanamikoji or Condottiere but almost all the cards have special abilities that can swing the battle in your favour. With only 18 cards, it is viable to make educated guesses as to what cards are in your opponent’s hand and plan your strategy around it. Excellent depth to size ratio. I like that you can choose to withdraw for a round and lose less points, but surely nobody I know is cowardly enough to take this option.
