A fun tight adventure for Legends of the Ancient World (although I'll admit I played it with TFT instead of the LoAW rules at the time).

A great series of games.

Very much in vein of the old Melee/ Wizard games. It comes complete with counters, combat map, and rules! Simple playing and deadly combat in a programed adventure means you can play it solitaire, or even with friends! Unlike role playing games there is no DM required.

As the author of this book, I'm obviously biased. It was a fun way to experiment with more roleplaying hooks and some new races and a bunch of new equipment for Legends of the Ancient World.

That being said, there are a few difficult to navigate paths if you try to backtrack and some of the skill rolls no longer match up with the newest LAW ruleset.

And I gave out WAYYYYY too much XP at the end. (though the original LAW rules encouraged the 1 XP/ combat ratio....in a long game like LBB, that adds up quickly.)

I'd love to hear what you all thought of it and what you'd like to see in the rewrite....

This programmed adventure is very well done and uses the classic Metagames Melee/Wizard system. It can be played as a game (great for solo play) or as a module using your favorie RPG system. Dark City Games brings back old school gaming in a nice, complete package. Worth looking into.
