Really fun if you have strategy

On the surface, Midnight Zombie Sabotage appears to be similar to favorites such as One Night Werewolf, Vampire and Alien. Considering that Midnight Zombie Sabotage began life as an intended sibling to the lineup, it’s not that surprising. However, while the overall deception mechanics and the existence of characters are like the One Night games, Zombie Sabotage has several unique qualities that makes it stand out. Instead of two groups, Zombie Sabotage features three different groups to work with: Zombies, Humans and Maniacs. Each group has their own goals and nuances that make the individual roles interesting to play. Having played all available characters, I found all of them enjoyable and challenging in their own right. Perhaps my favorite element of the game involves characters in both the human and zombie groups that are “muted” and thus unable to speak. This adds an additional challenge for players trying to plead their case using physical motion and body language in order to stay alive. Every time I have played this game I have seen players use creative ways to defend themselves and place the blame on another. These are but some of the memorable factors of the game with others including an infection vector, the ability to cure the zombie condition and the no-holds-bar actions of the maniac characters. Visually, the artwork is catching and stands out with unique and silly designs that pop with color. This game is a breath of fresh air in a field where the same mechanics are repeated with very little differentiation. The subsequent additions add even greater flavor and character to the game, ensuring a wide variety of possible characters to play. Overall, very enjoyable with players willing to throw themselves into the game.

Best Game I ever played.

This game is as unfun as all the joyless one night games. It is a retread of an already tired theme. I would stick with Avalon. It has zany roles where you can't talk and that makes it completely pointless for those players as far as social interaction.

I play this game a lot, I love hidden identity games and zombies so this game is a home run. I've played with both small and large groups and it is always a blast. The rounds are quick and it plays different every time:) I am constantly surprised by how much I underestimate people deceptive strategy. Groups of 8 play the best. Only play with the Drifter if you are experienced with this game.
