Have the new OSG release as well as the original 1979 release (3 mapper). Probably prefer the original and the fun of pillaging the Vatican. Toured Lombardy region in May 2006.
Toured many of the 1796-7 battlefields with Kevin Zucker in May 2010.

My first Zucker game played after the Struggle of Nations which is a different animal. Nice map, and complex but rewarding game system when you grasp it. 1x seems well suited with the scale of the armies that fight in this battles. I think this is the best game for this campaign. The scenarios are less time consuming but interesting.
This has one of my favourite wargame maps. The system is cumbersome at first, but the battle scenarios play quick. Many rules har there to create fog of war, and that is of course less exciting in solitaire play, but I still enjoy the game solo. In hindsight, we may think the Austrians foolish for being so confident at the beginning of these campaigns. Playing this game, you understand them.
