I just wasn't that big of a fan, there are some slight fun elements to it but I felt like my group was making most of the fun instead of the game. On another note my Fiancee loved it.
I own this game and have written a review. It is an upgrade to the earlier beta version I played previously.
It’s really entertaining, the concept is really cool and it’s new. I like how you can attack people with different cards. You can destroy them. I also like how you can come from behind, so the person who is winning in the beginning isn’t always the winner at the end. The drawings are really descriptive of bad guys and bad women. I like the banking system, and how you can take liabilities and turn them into assets.
I really like playing Fraud even though I’m not a financial whizz. I like having the choice to look out for myself and build my assets, or (my preference) to be mean to other players. I also really like games where you can be losing by a lot and still come from behind and win. That is definitely the case with Fraud. It is also one of the rare games you can play with teens. As a grownup, I’ve played with various teenagers, male and female, and it really draws them in. I think the goal of getting rich trumps (so to speak) how much they might not want to play with their parents. Because I’m familiar with, and very much enjoy, Milles Bournes, this game is familiar to me, but it’s much funnier, with the great drawings by Rick Beavis and Butthead Parker, and the smack-talk when the person with two indictments has to do the perp walk. I’ve also played with people who were just about to win, and I’ve nailed them with an attack card, which is extra gratifying. It is extra fun with a partner, because you have to negotiate strategy across the table, while benefiting from the extra power of extra cards. Whoever designed this is a genius, inventing a game that works for small and larger groups, and groups of all ages. I highly recommend Fraud the Game.
great concept, great execution, great art.
Easy to play and an all-time filler game for years to come. Simple to play and lots of fun with the family. (Gotta love the Perp Walk)
If only this game were better...
Fraud feels like an 80s game, both in visual design and gameplay. I suppose I'd prefer it over Illuminati, but overall there's not much fun to be had here and that's even with a strong affinity for the subject matter.
