Fly Fight Win (FFW) feeds the desire for players who would like something more complex than the Axis and Allies Air Force dogfighting game (Angels 20/ Bandits High) but without the record keeping of games like Check Your 6 (CY6). The chit-draw activation system keeps all players engaged during the turn; It avoids the common air combat game problems of one player/aircraft constantly dominating the initiative and the tendency for players to circle around aimlessly in games that require pre-plotted movement. However, since you draw separate chits to move and shoot, it can feel a bit frustrating.
FFW is well suited to handling smaller dogfights of a dozen or so aircraft, giving a reasonably quick and a satisfying game. If I was doing a small game (like 4v4) I'd opt for this rule set over many other systems currently out there. However, if putting an entire bomber stream on the table is your thing, you may want to look at other systems designed to handle massed air combat.
FFW is also FREE for download in the files section so there's no reason not to try it!
