Initial Impression: I'm not much of a tabletop minis gamer, having limited exposure to Warhammer 40K and Kill Team. This game is basically a ruleset that can be used with publisher-agnostic minis. Optionally you can purchase a specialized deck of poker cards, weather-worn and made of good cardstock. The rules for this game are MUCH simpler than Games Workshop rules, focusing more on ease of play over complex tactics. The players are dealt a hand of cards based on the number of characters they have in play and assign the cards for the minis' initiative rating. One by one, minis are activated and can take 2 actions which include moving, attacking, interacting with townsfolk, mounting a horse, ... Simple to learn/teach but present some interesting choices and tactics. However, the best thing about the game is how the theme shines through. While playing I could "see" it all happening in my mind. Tossing dynamite and blowing up my opponent, jumping on my horse to gallop towards my enemy, my opponent hopping over a fence to bum-rush me and knock me down ... the action was like thematic scenes from the great spaghetti westerns. Playing iconic western soundtracks only enhanced the overall experience. This is definitely a game I'd like to experience again.
