Or as it appears on the box lid, Glands of Galzyr.
Lovely to look at and with top notch production quality. Lovely table presence too. And a very nicely crafted app to drive it all along. But no game that I could make out. More a story to read to kids at bedtime.
We played three player co-op. The game made us go in different directions and our paths never crossed so there was no cooperation at all. But in any case cooperation amounted to little more than swapping items and money if players met up, or getting some extra points for being present when someone else got awarded points.
Essentially our three player experience was each of us playing a solo game interrupted by listening to the other players' storytelling.
At the end of the game a couple of hours later I felt I'd simply been read a long story whose narrative was partially determined by the dice rolls I made on my turn. If I'd made different dice rolls I'd've had a different story. The dice rolls didn't seem to make much difference, it all boiled down to pretty much the storyline the game wants to follow. So I might as well not have bothered with rolling dice even though that was the only action a player takes. Besides, it was difficult to remember my story plotline when two thirds of the evening I was listening to the stories of the other players.
The circular device with 6 sections and 4 plastic markers seemed like a missed trick. I'd hoped we might power up and add markers to it, to make our characters stronger. But the only options we were presented with was to slightly reposition the existing markers - but as we didn't know in advance which of the 6 regions would next be required there was no point in exercising the occasional option to move them.
I think this would be a great family game for children under 10.

There is very little game in this choose your own adventure story, but there is so much depth and wonderful story packed in to compensate! Easy to get on the table and just as easy to pack in the box for a future adventure. This is the first game my 11-year-old truly enjoys playing and we always have a blast seeing what mischief our characters will get into next!
Not for you if you like to crunch numbers or if you really want to know exactly what the outcome of your moves will be. I just love the stories in this land of animal folks. I mean, have you ever helped a little platypus girl to win a race with her toy ships? I did.
This game is a delight.
This vote could go higher, depending how the story and the exploration will be beautiful
