Imperfect, but a pretty good, fun game. Requires practice to do well. Hardly any strikeouts occur in the game and absolutely zero walks; the home plate area could have been designed better. Home plate should be bigger, for example. Fortunately, house rules are easy to apply.
This game is fantastic. All the elements of baseball you want in a one-on-one or party game. The skill is quickly learned and there is evolving strategy as you play. Anyone can play and the rules take about 30 seconds to explain. Very well put together game and great value for the dollar. Nice work by Zelosports! Looking forward to a copy of hockey and football...
Brutally difficult game, but in a way that has you want to keep playing (unlike the dire Finger Football). Hits and especially home runs are hard to come by, leading to scores that reflect real baseball games.
Works great as a simulation, though my group wrote in a sac-fly rule. My favorite aspect is pitching gets more difficult every three innings by moving the mound back, reflecting a pitcher getting tired as the game goes on.
Played a demo at a conference and immediately was struck by the brilliance of this little flicking game.
I like how one player 'pitches' and the 'batter' then is challenged to respond. Finger football and soccer are a bit of a letdown as dice are used for defensive play.
Great first play. Fun and surprisingly realistic.
Update. Continues to be appropriately difficult, realistic and great fun!
A dexterity game for baseball fans that plays really well.
July '10: It's a love it/hate game. I love it and so do Wyndham and Ed Roman. But some other folks hate it.
Good flicking, dexterity game.
