A clever push your luck game for young and old. You DON'T want to flip over two matching tiles for a change. Scales well by adding little rules and the final game (with all the rules) is deeper than expected.

2019-10-27 : played the prototype with the designer a while back. It's a push-your-luck memory game that can grow along with the kids getting older. The really special thing is that in the "hard" mode your kids will be so much better than you that you don't have to restrain yourself while playing the game. And they'll just love beating daddy fair and square. Just one caveat : if you're like me you won't get beaten, you'll get demolished because I'm so bad at this type of game that it's not even funny anymore. So for me this game is a "6", for parents and kids who like a challenging and fun game this is an "8" 2022-12-17 : First play. We played the advanced version with the kids and as predicted they loved it and beat us. The fact that this is both memory and push your luck makes this nice to play with kids because otherwise the adults would be destroyed every time. The really neat thing about it is the Goldilocks scoring : having 2 animals of a kind is great, 3 is a disaster. Going to try this with 2 players as I have the idea that would be the ideal number of players.

A twist to memory games, in that you try to find non-matching animals. The easiest game mode works with my 3.5 year old, while still offering some “push your luck” challenge for my 5 year old.

Love this game as a memory game. All other things than the memory games we know. This game grows with your child. You can add rules bit by bit by age.

Received a demo in Essen and immediately tried this with the kids when I got back home. They really like it and I also like the aspect the game can be adjusted depending on the age of your kids. The special scoring variant (8+) rules are too difficult at the moment, but this make it also a nice game for adults. I already played a few 2 player games with my wife and this is quite interesting. If you can't have the 3 animals of the same kind, you can try to dump them all on your opponent so they don't score for them. You have to be alert all the time.
