Short comment: D&D—T.I.M.E Stories style.
Full comment: Wow, so much going on: open world, new mechanics, meta-story, battles, and a few fun surprises. If you are an RPG fan, you'll love it. If not, you might want to consider other options because this is not your usual T.I.M.E Story. I chose a group of players who are avid role-players, so this was a perfect fit for them. We had so much fun exploring the world, uncovering secrets, meeting cool characters, and gathering exciting ITEMS. The story was hard for us to piece together, but we completed our task in spite of the characters who were trying to lead us astray, so mission accomplished! This isn't a particularly puzzly scenario (at least not part 1), there were a few, but they weren't the focus. This scenario delves deep into the meta-story—which should have happened in the officials. Be aware that this is a long scenario (5+ hours), and is part 1 of a trilogy. I should also note that we were playtesting and these comments may not apply in full to the final version.
Part 1 of a Trilogy. Long and challenging adventure, really well written and with an amazing graphic.
This is a great expansion and we really enjoyed playing it. The art is amazing for a non official expansion, it has a great story and contains many paths you can take. It also has a little bit of an open world feeling and there are many things to discover, as well as many interesting new ideas. Thus on some occasions we struggled a bit to follow the story, but we liked the challenge. You have to have played the first 4-5 official scenarios to enjoy this scenario to the fullest, because the meta story. This is a very long scenario, we played about 8 hours, because we wanted to discover everything. Be aware that you have to read quite a few, because there are many cards with long texts. If you like long, story-heavy and sometimes challenging adventures you should definitely play it.
My group really enjoyed playing this scenario! The artwork is amazing and the fights are well balanced. On top there are two references to the "outside world" in the game which we found quite funny :)
The game is quite long though, so I would recommend to play it in two sessions.
This game does not deserve a 1 so I'm countering the 1 with a 10!
