Scam. Crowdfunding is not a store. Stop backing KS/Gamefound, especially French companies.

dice-based arena skirmish game

The game doesn't seem to have much to offer gameplay-wise (almost only dice rolling and grid movement). ?

The basic idea of putting a lot of different stereotypical fighters into an arena is neat, but the execution seems to be lacking. The miniatures are small, I guess too small. (!)

The game seems way overpriced for what it is. And in general I'm against exclusive gameplay content. It punishes honest buyers that find out later.

Using D20 for hitpoints or similar might not be the best idea.

I like the artwork of the Amazonian priestress chick.

Easy to learn, but with levels of tactical decisions to make. Tons of different combinations of heroes means lots of replay-ability.

Fray: Champions of the Every-Verse was a really fun game that I will definitely play again and again. Fray was easy to learn, but complex enough that it would take a long time to master. With the combination of the various champions you can select (Captain Redbeard was fierce) plus the option of playing with anywhere from 1 to 3 champions, I love that no two games would be the same. Speaking of the Champions, the artwork and figurine design are top notch. The board is visually interesting and is further enhanced by the ability to place terrain, which only adds to creating a unique game play experience each time. There is a depth to the story that I really enjoyed and got me into the game even more. It has a good mix of strategy, rule complexity, but like all good games, leaves some of the success to ‘chance’ since a roll of the die can make or break you. Looking forward to buying this game next time they launch the Kickstarter!

Had the opportunity to play test this game while it was in development and gotta say that it was easy to learn and enjoyable. I couldn't wait until it went live on Kickstarter to order it. The artwork was terrific and the models look great. The best part though was how determined the designers were to make sure it played well. Constantly working to make the game better, and the finished product will absolutely demonstrate that to anyone who plays it. Novice and experienced gamers both will love this game!
