Gloomhaven: The Lucky Meeple (Promo Scenario)

Truly defies description. Unlike the other Gloomhaven promo scenarios, this one commits the cardinal sin of promos by not even attempting to blend in with the game ("help Jeremy and David find their lucky meeple!") and includes a city event card with a choice that lacks any creativity or logic ("does Jeremy pick up the meeple or does David pick up the meeple"), which one might be able to look past if it did not radically alter the scenario that you experience as a result.

One choice gives you a scenario that is fairly creative, adding a Hearts-like "pass the cards" mechanic that hurts the head a little bit but is genuinely unique. The other choice gives you an intentionally impossible scenario that requires an algebra equation (not joking or exaggerating) and advance knowledge of the scenario and enemy/map placement (something that you don't have the first time you play a scenario) to stand even a slight chance of completing. This half of the scenario was so bad that my game group nearly rioted, and we took a month long break from Gloomhaven as a result.

Not worth adding to your Gloomhaven experience, but if you do, for the love of all that is holy, read in advance and do not let a certain someone pick up the meeple.

This is an interesting, but ultimately not very fun, scenario where you have to plan the entire puzzle out in advance and then engage in some fairly easy fights.

The main challenge was I accidentally set it up for 3 players while playing with only 2 ;)

Kind of a basic scenario, your beginning decision does make for different conditions during the scenario and a different reward at the end.
