Puerto Rico - 6 plays - My high scores are 88 on estudiante, 89 on versado, 27 on dios. This solitaire puzzle is great. Since I don't get to play AoS that often, I can use this as a way to experiment with track and learn how to balance my game more intuitively, all while trying to better my score! I think this one will be played fairly regularly. It serves as a nice gaming fix when I have no one else to play games with.
Jamaica - 1 play - Wow! What a tight map... we were quite surprised at how quickly our shares built up. I actually taught a friend of mine how to play using this map. Normally I would use Austria, but he was up for the challenge. It was a great game... I did let him take an extra share once during a turn, but other than that he did fine. He ended up winning 28-27. This was one of the most brutal games of Age of Steam I have played... certainly not for the faint of heart. I can't wait to try it again!

Puerto Rico (rating 9.5):
I didn't play it much yet but is seems that no randomness during the game makes it significantly better than [gameid=30929].
Jamaica (rating 9.5):
An excellent 2-player map. Very compact and aggressive. I feel it is much harder than [gameid=30929]. In most of my games one of the players went bankrupt something around 3th turn.
I think it is because it is much less space for building than in [gameid=30929] (especially for long connections) and costs are much higher.

I have just opened it and didn't play it yet (thus no rating) but I am already disappointed with the quality of my version. The expansion consists of an envelope glued so that it cannot be opened (or at least I wasn't able) without cutting it. Inside we find two sheets of letter paper somewhat harder than usual. But they are not connected so playing is difficult. Also there is no separate sheet with rules. The rules are printed on the boards. Again poorly. The text is centered according to both sheets connected but this leads on column of the text to be circa 5mm to the left of the sheet edge. Thus both are required to read the rules conveniently.
Brutal. Hardly ever make profit. Don't remember how I managed to make income the first game I played, but playing w/ an AoS expert makes this map a money drainer...
---- Jamaica ----

- Pretty uninteresting and unbalanced map.
---- Puerto Rico ----
- The best solo map I've played so far
Interesting solo puzzle.
puerto rico: I am pleasantly surprised at the experience. I won't be treating this as a puzlle (which it is, with all information known after goods setup), instead I try to play like I would with people. first try I went bankrupt after trying to buy loco and build as much as possible each turn...
best scores: versado - bankrupt
