Armada: The Game of Epic Naval Warfare Rulebook

Much of this resembles GDW's sadly defunct ManOWar miniatures game. An example is Armada's Orcish Bloodrunners - they are very similar to ManoWar's Drillakillas. Armada's miniatures are bigger, more detailed and the rules are about the same in terms of complexity. Armada does not track hit locations like ManOWar and the navies are more symmetrical. The game plays smoothly and is a lot of fun. It also looks stunning on the table.

Yeah, I got the first comment on BGG. Just played my first game today. It made me want to play another game directly after the first. It felt tense, with important descisions to make and streamlined. Comparable to other fleet games but srtripped down of everything superfluous.
