There are some really interesting things about this game, taken as individual aspects - the mutual incentives of the invent/innovate/share economy, the puzzle of tile laying and race to acquire said tiles, etc. However, it just doesn't hang together as an entire game for me. When you compare it to games like Lisboa, Kanban EV, or Vinhos where the systems interlock seamlessly to create a unified play experience, this can feel very disjointed and scattered. It's fine to play, but not more than that. The theme isn't there at all - it just doesn't really deliver on the premise that way, and I say that as someone who thinks that other Lacerdas like Kanban and The Gallerist very much do. If the theming came through stronger, it might do something to hold together the mechanics more.
Increíblemente subestimado.
First play was a little rocky because I didn't have as much prep time as I would like. But this is easily goign to rise to at least a 9 for me. Love the mechanics and the thickness of the puzzle.
This didn't quite get to 10 for me because while it's great you can't really attack it from multiple angles the way you normally would with a Lacerda. The inventions that take two specialists are better than the inventions that take one specialist unless you can REALLY pump out those singles. And because it's so challenging to get the same action over and over thats a tough nut to crack. However the fact I gave it a 9 shows you I’m going to keep trying lol.
Loving this game. Just a bid sad the theme is secondary. The feeling is amazing when you find a way to carry out 5 actions in one turn.
abstract game. No effect from any invention, except a generic bonus.
