Simple rules and hard decisions. Super playful theme where all the actions make intuitive sense. Lots of crunchy decisions where you're choosing between two things you need, and you can't quite afford either. Looking forward to getting this when it's available!

I played a prototype version at Gen Con 2024. I loved this game. Players are kids and we’re collecting comic books. This uses a kind of action planning mechanic (not sure what to call it). At the start of each round is the morning when we will plan our day - taking turns placing out cubes that represent the actions we want to take that day. Then everyone’s day resolves in action order. First are actions taken at home in the morning where we can do chores to earn money or do a mail order for some new comics. Next, we can travel to the local comic book shop. There are a few different ways to get comics here (such as grabbing the new hotness or browsing the bargain bin) which all cost different amounts of money. You can also opt to sell some of your unwanted comics. After that is the option to travel to a convention where you can do actions such as gaining swag (which is free comics though you don’t know what they are), getting your comics signed (which raises the value), or get one of your displayed sets graded. At the end of the day, you’re back at home. This is where you can bag & board your comics as well as display them. Comics must be bagged & boarded to be displayed and displaying them is how you’ll earn points and raise the market value of that type of comic. The display action is a set collection / splaying & melding mechanic. Once you have displayed comics of a particular type, you can add to that display later with more of that same type. Once you have that set graded, you can no longer add to it. Grading will give extra money(points) though, so it is still great to do.

I loved the theme. I actually did feel like a kid collecting my comic books. I kept digging through the bargain bin and getting genuinely excited when I found the hero I was looking for. I enjoyed the way the old and new comics on display would eventually end up in the bargain bin as well. There are an assortment of different public goals and 3 are used in each game. This will add variety to each play.

I found the game very easy to learn and very thematic while still offering plenty of interesting and meaningful decisions. The art is still a work in progress - but I was very impressed with what is already there. It does not use any existing IP. The superheroes are very creative and the flavor text on all the cards was so fun to read. Playtime was perfect - around 90 minutes for our learning game, but should be faster once the rules are known. My husband and 13 year old son were also playing and all of us enjoyed the game. I am very excited to back this when it comes to kickstarter. I WANT THIS GAME!

This is quite a unique board game that I've played so far and truly enjoyed it. I believe there are multiple ways to actually win this game, which makes me want to try different tactics. And collecting comic books, buying comics at the comic store, going to the convention store, etc., I love the theme and concept!

For a game that is still in works, I'm quite impressed of how the game turned out. I'm looking forward for the final copy of this game and to see how great it turns out! I would recommend it if you ever have the chance to try it out (or when it becomes available)!

Solid game - prototype at SHUX 22 was well done and I would have bought it in that format. Looking forward to this coming out.

Interesting comic book collecting themed prototype that I tried. It reminded me of Bus a little bit with cube workers that you can spend in varying amounts for different actions. The market mechanisms work pretty well with the different prices you can spend on comic books depending on where you buy them from.
