Baltic Empires: The Northern Wars of 1558-1721

I am the designer so my rating is obviously biased but for me it is near to the perfect multiplayer game. It combines a lot of mechanisms from simple multiplayer games that I love with a historical period and region that I am deeply interested it. As a result it is much more historically correct than most multiplayer games that can be taught to a new player in less than 20 minutes.

Its an awesome super intense game, only downside is that it will raise your blood pressure.

Playtested two multiplayer and one solo multi-handed games, I've found it to be an excellent historical sandbox. Each faction has a nice unique feel despite the overall mechanics being very straightforward. Now one of my most anticipated games on P500 despite the era covered not being one I usually read about. I can easily see myself playing this one with less historical/wargame oriented friends.

One 5p game under my belt (prototype) . Really enjoyed the dynamic the Hegemony tracks and resources play in this game. Everyone at the table enjoyed this one.
