Betrayal at House on the Hill: 3rd Edition

Rules are very unclear in places. The player boards look nice but.not easy to read. The omen symbol on room tiles are easy to miss (first play through we thought there was just nothing special about those tiles). Lots of token but you have no idea which you will need. The quality of the tile pieces are poor as most are warped. I really wanted to like the game and it just came across as OK. Nothing special. I'd like to try it more but I think convincing people will be a struggle.

Completed a couple of playthroughs. Easy to teach. Interesting 2 act mechanic. Sometimes the outcome seems inevitable because of how the 1st act sets things up. I have not played previous versions. I enjoyed painting a few minis with the game.

This game is very generous in the amount of ameritrash randomness it provides. It could go either way, like sometimes it's a blast of cheesy fun thanks to the theme, and other times it's very messy, with boring scenarios always waiting in ambush to kill the fun and make it a repetitive oldschool dice-chuker experience.

It's a weird game. The pre-haunt phase is basically the world's longest game setup for the part that actually matters: the haunt. But the exploration is kind of fun. I am reminded of its pointlessness as I play though.

One of the best pure fun experiences. Would be a 9.5-10 for me, if not for the issue that the books are still not clear enough for new players to fully understand the rules without guidance, which ultimately hurt the experience a bit. If you manage to follow the rules, seems to be an amazing experience with nothing quite like it.

Очень отдаленно напоминает Особняки Безумия, но уникальность в том, что каждый заход будет одним из 50 уникальных сценариев, где роли игрокам в определенный момент времени выпадут рандомно. В игре может быть предатель, а может будет кооп или все против всех. Причем, каждая сторона знает только свою задачу и цель для победы. Попробуйте догадаться и перехитрить соперников. Партии быстрые, но насыщенные и очень интересные.
