A very clever system which portrays well the period's art of war.

Beautifully done game using a well-tested system, employed in the two previous volumes in the series. Serious Historical Games, the designer's new publishing effort, has gone with larger, easier to read and to handle, counters, which I appreciate.

I highly recommend it to anyone at all interested in early-modern, battle-level combat.

A very good game, with enough chrome to spice up the game but not so much that you get lost, beautiful maps, eye-catching counters, well-written rules, welcome design notes and well-done examples. A real pleasure.

Single play of Dreux; the Reiters are killers especially when using caracole. No issues with lethality as units were being wiped out by the shooting.
